This page describes what this site actually does, not what a privacy page usually says. Today WattPair sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no accounts, hosts no advertising and makes no requests to any third party. There is no profile of you here because there is nothing collecting one.

That will not stay true forever. Where something is planned, it is written below as a condition — and this page changes before the thing does, never after.

What is collected today

Cookies None. The site sets no cookie of any kind, which is also why there is no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.

Analytics None installed. No measurement tag, no tag manager, no pixel, no session recorder.

Accounts None. Nothing here asks you to register, and there is no password to lose.

Forms Nothing you type is sent to a server of ours, because there is no server of ours to send it to. The calculators run in your browser, the pickers use plain links and query strings so that a result stays shareable with scripting switched off, and the submission page assembles its block in the page itself — where that block can go afterwards is set out below.

Third-party requests None. Fonts, styles and every other asset are served from this site, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did. A link you decide to follow is a request you make; no page here fetches anything from another host to render itself.

Advertising None. No ad network, no retargeting, no data sold or shared for it.

The one thing that is recorded

The pages are static files served by a hosting provider, and like every web server it records requests: the address requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string and the network address it came from. That happens for any site you visit and it is not something this site switches on or off. Those logs are the provider's, kept under their retention rules; they are not used here to build any profile, and nothing on this site joins them to anything else.

Retailer links

Some links go to retailers, and if you buy after following one, WattPair may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Following such a link takes you out of this site: the retailer typically records the referral, usually with a cookie of its own, and from that point its privacy policy governs what happens — not this one. The reports we receive back are commercial summaries: what sold and what it earned, not who bought it. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or order contents.

If you write to us

A message you send is used to answer you, and where it corrects a published figure, to record what changed and why. There is no mailing list here to be added to, and nothing you send is passed to a manufacturer or retailer unless you ask for that. Ask and the message is deleted. The state of the mailbox itself is on the contact page.

If you submit a measurement

The submission page is open, and it collects nothing. What you fill in is assembled into a text block by script running in your own browser: the page sends none of it anywhere, keeps none of it, and has nowhere to keep it. There is no endpoint behind that page — no form service, no analytics beacon, no upload — so a block exists only on your machine until you decide to deliver it. The three delivery routes are not equivalent, and the difference is worth reading before you pick one.

Copying the block It goes to your clipboard and no further. Nobody here learns that you built one, and nothing on this site records that you did.

The prefilled GitHub issue This is the route that leaves. The button is an ordinary link, not a request the page makes for you — nothing is transmitted while you fill the fields in. Follow it and you are on GitHub, posting from your own GitHub account: what you post is public, it is hosted by GitHub under GitHub’s terms and privacy policy rather than this page’s, and removing it afterwards is something you do there, not something this site can do for you. Whatever sits in the block travels with it, so put nothing in a note that you would not put on a public forum.

Email Not enabled. The mailbox is not accepting mail yet, which is why the address is printed as text and not as a link there or here, and why no measurement can reach us that way today. The day it opens, a log sent by mail is governed by the paragraph above and this row changes with it.

What is held, either way Only what you chose to deliver, and only where you delivered it. A log under review is kept for its figures and its test conditions; nothing about the submitter is looked up, bought or joined to anything else, and a published reader log carries the log, not a profile of the person who sent it.

What would change this page

If analytics is added This page will name the tool, say what it records and how long it is kept, and appear here before the tag ships — not in the same release, and not afterwards.

If a submission ever posts to a server None does today: a block is delivered by hand, by you, to a place you picked. If that ever changes — a form endpoint, a hosted service, anything that receives what you typed — it is named here, with what it stores and for how long, before the first submission reaches it.

If anything is ever set in your browser It gets named here, with what it is for and how to refuse it.

Your data, and what there is of it

There is no account to close, no profile to export and no advertising identifier to reset, because none of them exist here. A message you sent is the only thing this site holds that is about you, and asking for it to be deleted is enough to have it deleted. One limit on that is worth stating plainly rather than leaving you to discover it: an issue you opened on GitHub is yours and lives in your GitHub account, so it is edited or deleted there — this site can stop using what it contains, and cannot unpublish it for you. This page does not claim a certification or a compliance programme it does not have; it describes what the site does. If the site starts doing more, this text changes first and the date at the top changes with it.
